Meet Seth Moran
Aloha, I’m Seth Moran, a Marriage and Family Therapist-Trainee with a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace. My journey into the field of therapy is rooted in both personal experience and professional dedication.
I’m currently completing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at the University of Massachusetts Global. Before that, I earned a Post-Baccalaureate in Psychology from San Diego Mesa College, where I had the honor of serving as Chapter President of the Psi Beta Honors Society. My education reflects my deep commitment to understanding people and supporting their growth through every season of life.
Before entering the therapy world, I worked with People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) in San Diego, helping individuals and families transition from homelessness to stability. I supported clients in finding and maintaining housing, often acting as a bridge between them and landlords, resolving conflict, and connecting them to mental health resources. From there, I joined Telecare’s Mobile Crisis Response Team, where I supported people in some of their hardest moments—offering calm, compassionate care during mental health crises and guiding them to safety and support.
In addition to my clinical experience, I’ve served in ministry leadership through Church Tsidkenu, where I’ve trained and led mission teams bringing care and practical support to communities around the world. These experiences have shown me how to meet people where they are, with empathy and respect.
My own story includes walking through painful and complicated seasons—family struggles with addiction, divorce, loss, and the trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic. But through it all, I’ve experienced God’s grace and healing power. That resilience is what inspires me to walk with others through their valleys and toward hope.
As the husband of a Navy medical veteran and someone surrounded by military family and friends, I also understand the unique ups and downs of military life. I’m especially passionate about helping service members, veterans, and their families find peace and strength in their transitions.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I’m currently diving deeper into Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Structural Family Therapy, expanding my toolbox to better support my clients’ emotional balance and family dynamics.
I speak both English and Spanish and am committed to offering culturally sensitive care to all I serve. Whether you’re coming as an individual, a couple, or a family, I’m here to listen, support, and walk with you toward healing—with a steady hand and an open heart.
