Meet Seth Moran
Seth Moran is a Marriage and Family Therapist-Trainee with a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace. His journey into the field of therapy is rooted in both personal experience and professional dedication.
Seth's path began with a strong educational foundation, including currently working on a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Global. He also earned a Post-Baccalaureate in Psychology from San Diego Mesa College, where he served as Chapter President of the Psi Beta Honors Society. These academic achievements reflect his commitment to lifelong learning and his drive to understand the human experience from multiple perspectives.
Professionally, Seth has devoted himself to making a difference in the lives of those facing crisis and hardship. His work at People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) in San Diego, CA involved supporting individuals and families as they transitioned from homelessness to stability. Seth played a vital role in helping clients not only find housing but also maintain it by fostering positive relationships between tenants and landlords. He never shied away from conflict and took pride in mediating challenges while linking clients to essential mental health resources.
Seth’s expertise in crisis intervention continued as part of Telecare’s Mobile Crisis Response Team, where he provided grounding support to individuals facing some of life’s most difficult moments. Whether offering guidance during a mental health crisis or connecting people to the help they needed, Seth remained a steady and compassionate presence in every situation.
In addition to his professional work, Seth has been actively involved in global missions through Church Tsidkenu. As a leader, he has trained and guided mission teams to bring care, compassion, and practical support to communities around the world. His dedication to ministry demonstrates his commitment to serving others with love and empathy.
Seth’s personal story is one marked by overcoming adversity. He has experienced firsthand the trials of family struggles—facing challenges like addiction, divorce, loss, and even the collective trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through it all, he has seen God’s grace bring healing and victory. This faith-driven resilience is what inspires him to be present for others who are walking through their own valleys.
Being married to a Navy medical veteran and surrounded by family and friends from the Marines, Army, and Coast Guard, Seth deeply understands the unique struggles of military life. He knows the challenges of transitioning from mission to home life and the resilience required to navigate those transitions. His insights into military culture and his genuine empathy make him a relatable and trustworthy guide for those connected to the armed forces.
Seth’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). He also has a growing passion for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Structural Family Therapy, always seeking new methods to help clients find balance, peace, and harmony.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Seth is dedicated to offering inclusive and culturally sensitive care to all his clients. His approach is warm, respectful, and built on the belief that every person’s story matters. Whether working with couples, families, or individuals, Seth is committed to walking alongside his clients with a steady hand and an open heart, fostering growth and healing every step of the way.
